Contact by email
If you write to me, I process your details only to answer you (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR) and delete them once they are no longer needed for that purpose.
YouTube and TikTok
For the channels on YouTube and TikTok, the privacy policies of the respective platform also apply. Comments are read and answered via the platforms' interfaces.
The Dots at Sea app and Google/YouTube data
The Dots at Sea app is a private tool used solely to manage the provider's own YouTube channel “Dots at Sea”. It uses the YouTube API Services by Google. The YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy apply.
After signing in with the channel's Google account, the app accesses only this channel: uploading videos, captions and thumbnails, editing titles and descriptions, reading channel statistics, and reading and replying to comments on its own videos. Access credentials (OAuth tokens) are stored only locally on the provider's own computers. Data from Google accounts is not sold, not shared with third parties, not used for advertising and not used to train AI models. Use complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Stored statistics and comment texts are deleted as soon as they are no longer needed, and no later than 30 days where the API policies require this. Access can be revoked at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions; you can request deletion by email.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR), and the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, e.g. the Independent Centre for Privacy Protection Schleswig-Holstein (ULD).
